DYNASTIC HERO (SCD)…

Below is a rather lush Dynastic Hero Poster (2600x1613 .jpg) ▼ for Hudson's PCE port of Wonderboy in Monsterworld (as Genesis fans would know it). The heredity line of Wonderboy games is quite confusing.

A ROSE BY ANY OTHER NAME:
1991—Wonderboy V: Monster World III (Mega Drive, Japan)
1992—Wonderboy in Monsterworld (Genesis, North America)
1993—Wonderboy in Monsterworld (Master System, Europe)
1993—Dynastic Hero (TurboDUO, North America)
1994—Dynastic Hero (DUO, Japan)

As the illustrations above reveal, this is not a straight port of Westone's Wonderboy V: Monster World III (Mega Drive). Hudson "re-imagined" the game by (a) reskinning Westone's sprites with a new cast of characters, (b) adding cinema scenes, and (c) providing a new Red Book soundtrack, courtesy Mr. T's Music. Thankfully, all of these changes are cosmetic; the core Wonderboy V: Monsterworld III game remains intact and is as enjoyable as the original.
