CHALLENGE: CAN YOU SPOT THE DIFFERENCES? At first glance, the two ads seem nearly identical. Can you identify all of the differences between the them? 10 points awarded for each correct answer.
THIRD-PARY SOFTWARE: It is surprising that the second advertisement promotes the DUO, space that the first ad used for promoting Gradius II and R-Type Complete CD (software on the CD•ROM2 platform). Of course, NEC, Konami and IREM had arrangements (contracts) governing how third-party games were promoted in official NEC advertisements…but, ultimately, that space was best served promoting compelling software for the PCE CD•ROM2 ecosystem.
