The goofy primate featured on the cover of this special issue could be mistaken for a cast member from
El Chavo. Whether you find this gorilla loveable or annoying, he possesses far more charm than the horrid "PC Engine Man" character. Of the two, PC Gorilla is a superior mascot.
PC ENGINE MAN: The first and last appearance of the musclebound wrestler. Thank goodness. The PCE pad strapped on his forearm was his only redeeming feature.
NOTE: Ultimately, PC Gorilla was featured prominently in all 66 issues of Gekkan PC Engine, a publication that began with the current issue (January 1989) and thrived for over five years until its final issue (March 1994). PC Engine Man was never heard from again.
